Welcome to My Dementia Companion PRO.

Dementia is the second leading cause of death and first in women. We know it's  complex and no individual personal journey is the same. We've developed the PRO to simplify the journey for you, so you can easily partner with your clients and their carers to help them with re-ablement and live well, by quickly accessing evidence-based and contemporary resources created by specialists and experts in Australia and around the world, all in one place.

Here is the PRO's home screen, where you can see the world's first comprehensive dementia journey to help you, your clients, their carers and care workers.

If your client has a need or question on 'driving' for example, you can easily click on the journey tiles for suggestions on care strategies, system navigation and referrals.

Forget Googling that brings back millions of search results. You can search for solutions via the search bar on the top left of your window by typing in keywords, such as driving, legal matters, CALD, aids and assisted technology, subsidies and palliative care, or change behaviors such as repetition, wandering, refusal, eating, hallucination and much more.

When you click on the relevant search results, the Section will open up to give you quality and up-to-date videos, practical suggestions, checklists, forms, referrals, care strategies and even Tips from other carers. You can click on the heading to collapse and see other related Sections.

You can Share, Save and Mark Done items instantly.

More on sharing later.

To track one's progression, you can quickly create a profile when you Share or via the 'Client and Carer' tab, which is as simple as their name, their carer's name and an email they'd like information sent to.

The PRO can be used in your quality reviews with the Age Care Quality and Safety Commission via the journey in the 'Home' window using the pink 'Select' drop- down on the top right corner, or via a history 'clock' icon under the '+Client and Carer' tab.

The wide range of resources in the PRO makes it a practical tool to help you respond to ad hoc needs or questions, manage referrals, develop and review Care Plans, and manage incidents and audits, including change behaviors and much more.

You can learn more about them in our 'Welcome to PRO! Start tutorial here', including how to Share, manage Printing, and more.

Note that the PRO is an important tool and ensures teams are sourcing evidence-based quality and up-to-date information from the same place. The PRO app should be used as a prompt to support professional training and judgment. Expand and collapse sections by clicking on the heading to help you orientate yourself. If you're not sure where you are in the app, click on the 'Home' tab to go back to the journey view. Don't forget you can contact us via the 'Question?' button, the 'Chat' icon or the 'Suggestions' link located in each Section. Thank you for doing the wonderful work you do and being Dementia Change Makers!
