National Dementia Conference 2024

Updated: Jul 27

We were honoured to have presented at the National Dementia Conference last week to showcase our innovative approach to dementia care alongside Heathcote Dementia Alliance and GreenConnect Dementia Respite Project!

My Dementia Companion at National Dementia Conference

We received very positive feedback on our structured approach to guide carers and people living with dementia through the complex dementia journey, so they can live well.

This was special as we presented with friend carer Marg, who is supporting Dot, who was also present. Marg's positive feedback, ongoing support humour and enthusiasm makes all the difference in our work, which can be very challenging. Thank you Marg!

Key themes that we presented and discussed on stage included:

  • The importance of being guided through the dementia journey dementia journey and empowered to learn new skills to cope with changes, including our world-first comprehensive dementia journey, which many have taken photos of

  • Real case studies on how navigating the legal and financial planning journey, changed behaviours such as sundowning and confusion in the evening, early stage strategies at home and more.

If you are interested in our presenting and findings, please contact us.
