Dementia affects 1 in 10 Australians and is the second leading cause of death in Australia. Unfortunately, many providers and professionals struggle to deliver the quality of care they would like to due to the lack of proper tools.


My Dementia Companion was created to address this issue and you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers can successfully use My Dementia Companion to improve care.


What we do?

As a for-purpose tech startup, we are the world’s first digital dementia guide that helps professionals to navigate their clients and carers’ dementia journey as well as the complex care system with ease and confidence.


We also play a pivotal role in bringing innovation to a sector that has lagged behind. As a result, we have won numerous grants with wide industry recognitions.


Key responsibilities

You will work with the CEO to partner with care providers and professionals to ensure they can successfully embed My Dementia Companion in their practice to improve care delivery and outcomes, save time, reduce risk and increase compliance:

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the My Dementia Companion apps, and also the the providers and professionals’ goals, needs, gaps and issues

  • Manage customer onboarding, training and adoption, ensuring professionals are successfully using the app to meet their needs and achieve their goals

  • Proacively follow up with providers and professionals to ensure we are meeting their needs and they are getting the most from our product and offering over time

  • Be the primary point of contact for customers and provide outstanding customer service through various communication channels (email, phone, chat), including identifying and escalating customer issues to the appropriate team members and ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner

  • Proactively monitor and analyse customer feedback and provide insights to other team members to improve the My Dementia Companion’s functionality, other offerings and user experience

  • Develop and execute customer success plans that increase customer retention and engagement

  • Participate in customer success team meetings and provide updates on customer activity and feedback.

Who are we looking for

We are looking for a highly motivated and mission driven individual with an obsession to support care professionals to improve dementia care:

  • A minimum 3-5 years of experience in either customer facing dementia care, aged care OR customer success OR customer service roles (combined experiences ideal)

  • A people-person with a growth mindset, proactive approach and self-driven mindset

  • Customer obsessed and places them at the heart of everything

  • Grit, problem solving abilities, solution focused, analytical and process-oriented mindset with project or change management experience

  • A strong sense of empathy, coupled with strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills relate to care professionals

  • Fluency in technology.


Commitment

Initial arrangement is flexible and we will work with you to ensure suitability (e.g. full time, part time or flexible project based). The intention is a full time permanent role as we grow to help the 2M Australia and 200M+ people around the world impacted by dementia, and millions of professionals working to support them.
