Join a world-first tech startup to reinvent dementia care and advance outcomes
Dementia is Australia’s second leading cause of death and impacts 1 in 10 Australians, who are either living with dementia or care for someone who is. Despite strong recommendations from the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety, and numerous research findings highlighting the gaps in quality dementia care, professionals are unable to deliver the care our partners, parents, grandparents, uncles, aunties and friends need.
This is because they simply don’t have the time nor the ability to navigate their clients through the complex dementia journey in an equally complex care system.
What we do?
We are the world’s smart first digital dementia guide that enables professionals to deliver best practice care easier and with confidence, whilst saving them time, reducing stress and reducing risk (learn more here).
As a social enterprise and passion project, we work towards ensuring all people impacted by dementia are supported and are able to live well with dementia.
We also play a pivotal role in bringing innovation to a sector that has lagged behind. As a result, we have won numerous grants with wide industry recognition (learn more here).
To grow our impact, you will be working with the CEO on various projects, such as:
partnering with care and service providers to understand their dementia care gaps
helping them to close that gap through innovative thinking, including how My Dementia Companion can help
supporting their workforce to onboard and embed My Dementia Companion in the workflow.
You will also support the team to gather feedback and insights from users to improve My Dementia Companion, materials and other strategies as required, so more people impacted by dementia care are supported.
This opportunity offers many unique benefits and rewards:
make highly scalable and meaningful impact that has never-been-achieved in an area that is so desperately in need of innovative solutions
leave your mark and shape the future of this high impact, fast growing and extremely unique startup
work with senior members of dementia and aged care stakeholders in government, research and industry
have a front row seat on our journey to improve dementia care nationally and globally
be challenged and stimulated to grow personally and professionally as an early stage team member
work with an extremely dedicated, smart and supportive team of talented individuals
